This website is run by FLiAI, the Agentic AI research and development team of Future Life Investments Limited, Sri Lanka. Future Life Investments Limited is responsible for the personal data collected here. This page explains what we collect through fliai.lk, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We handle personal data in line with Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.
What we collect
We only collect what you send us through the two forms on this site.
- Contact form: your name, email address, and if you give them, your phone number and company, together with your message and its topic.
- Job applications: your name, email address, phone number, your CV as a PDF, the links you provide (such as a portfolio, GitHub, LinkedIn or a video), and the answers you write in the form.
To stop abuse of the forms, we also keep a short-lived, one-way scrambled form of your IP address for about an hour. It cannot be turned back into the address, and it is not stored with your message or application.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To consider your application for the role you applied for and, as the form says, for future roles at FLiAI.
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on each form. Every application is read by a person. We do not use automated scoring or ranking to decide on applicants, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone outside Future Life Investments Limited.
Where it is kept and who can see it
The website is hosted by Hostinger. Form entries are stored in this website’s database on that server. CVs are stored in a private folder that cannot be opened from the internet, under random file names; only the staff who manage hiring can download them after signing in. A copy of each message also reaches our team by email at info@fliai.lk or careers@fliai.lk, which are hosted by the same provider.
How it is protected
The whole site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Applications and enquiries are not published or reachable through the site’s public interfaces, and only signed-in staff with the right permission can open them.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as the conversation is active, and no longer than two years after it ends.
- Applications and CVs: until the hiring round closes, and for up to twelve months after that so we can consider you for future roles. If you are hired, your application becomes part of your staff record.
Applicants under 18
Our roles are for people aged 18 or over. If you are younger, please do not send us your details.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and visitors do not receive any. The details are in our cookie policy.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to info@fliai.lk, or for anything about an application, careers@fliai.lk. We will reply within fourteen working days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date below.
