Position 01

Software Engineer

3 seats Full-time Sri Lanka
Apply for this role

Are you looking for years of experience? Just kidding. We'll make some. Come work with us. This will be your place. Let's redefine the history.

What we're looking for

  • UGC approved or recognised graduated degree, first or second upper class
  • Strong undergraduate academic portfolio: meaningful projects and real-world executions
  • Research-based development (R&D) understanding, in the research science sense
  • Object-oriented programming, software architecture, Git, CI/CD and Agile Scrum workflow
  • Time management: Eisenhower matrix, time boxing, priority-based todo management
  • Agentic development: strong knowledge of Claude Code agents, skills and Model Context Protocol is an advantage
  • TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Flutter, AWS / GCP (Google Kubernetes Engine), serverless or self-hosting with Docker
  • Agentic AI: Gemini Tools, LangChain, LangGraph, n8n no-code automations
  • Agentic automation: automating AI development with MCPs (Figma, Playwright)
  • Good UI/UX theory, according to Apple and Google standards

Important. A good attitude and an understanding of corporate work ethics matter to us. And please do not send generated CVs. We review every application manually.

Include in your application

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Portfolio URL
  • GitHub profile (optional)
  • LinkedIn profile (optional)
  • Your CV attached as a PDF
  • A short note: why do you want to join FLi AI?
Position 02

Junior Software Engineer

Undergraduates who can work on weekdays, school leavers who are 18 or older, and anyone who is genuinely good at software engineering and stunning web app development.

What we're looking for

  • Age 18 or above
  • Undergraduates who are able to work on weekdays, or school leavers
  • Strong at software engineering and stunning web app development
  • A portfolio that actually demonstrates your skill

Video introduction required. Record a short introduction of yourself: what you have done over the past years and your experience. Portrait format, one minute maximum. Upload it to YouTube as unlisted and send us the link.

Include in your application

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Age
  • Current status: undergraduate, school leaver or other
  • Portfolio URL
  • Video introduction: unlisted YouTube link
  • A paragraph on what you expect from us
  • A paragraph on the things you are looking for
Position 03

UI/UX Developer

1 seat Full-time Sri Lanka
Apply for this role

Design that survives contact with production. You will own how our work looks, feels and behaves, then build it.

What we're looking for

  • Strong Figma skills: components, variants, auto-layout and a maintained design system
  • Solid grasp of UI/UX theory according to Apple Human Interface and Google Material guidelines
  • Able to turn your own designs into React / Next.js and Tailwind CSS, not just hand them over
  • Motion and micro-interaction design with GSAP or Framer Motion
  • Responsive and mobile-first thinking, tested on real devices and not just artboards
  • Accessibility fundamentals: contrast, focus states, keyboard flows, semantic markup
  • Design tokens, spacing scales and typography systems that stay consistent at scale
  • Prototyping and user flow mapping before a single pixel is finalised
  • Agentic automation with the Figma MCP is a strong advantage
  • A portfolio showing shipped interfaces, not only concept work

Show us the thinking. We care more about why you made a decision than how polished the shot looks. Walk us through one screen you rebuilt and what changed.

Include in your application

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Portfolio URL: Figma, Behance, Dribbble or your own site
  • A live URL of something you designed and built
  • GitHub profile (optional)
  • Your CV attached as a PDF
  • A short note: which interface do you admire, and why?
Position 04

Video Editor

1 seat Full-time Sri Lanka
Apply for this role

We build things worth showing. You turn that work into product films, launch clips and short-form content that people actually finish watching.

What we're looking for

  • Confident in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut. Pick your weapon and show the result
  • Motion graphics and animated typography in After Effects or equivalent
  • Short-form vertical editing for social, plus longer product and case-study films
  • Sound design fundamentals: music selection, levels, voice-over cleanup
  • Basic colour grading and a consistent look across a series
  • Storyboarding and scripting before you open the timeline
  • Screen-recording and product demo capture for software
  • Fast, reliable turnaround with clean project and asset organisation
  • Familiarity with AI video and audio tooling is an advantage
  • A showreel or portfolio of work you personally edited

Send the reel first. One minute of your best cutting tells us more than a page of software logos. Note clearly which parts of each piece were yours.

Include in your application

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Showreel link: YouTube, Vimeo or Drive
  • Two or three sample edits with your exact role in each
  • Software you work in day to day
  • Your CV attached as a PDF
  • Your typical turnaround for a 60 second edit
Position 05

Product Owner

1 seat Full-time Sri Lanka
Apply for this role

You decide what gets built next and why. The hardest part of an R&D team is saying no to good ideas. That is your job.

What we're looking for

  • Owning a backlog end to end: refinement, prioritisation and release planning
  • Writing user stories with acceptance criteria an engineer can build from without guessing
  • Agile Scrum in practice: sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, velocity
  • Prioritisation frameworks: Eisenhower matrix, RICE, time boxing, MoSCoW
  • Translating between stakeholders and engineers without losing either side
  • Making decisions from analytics and user feedback rather than opinion
  • Understanding what AI products can and cannot promise: cost, latency, accuracy, failure modes
  • Comfortable reading technical discussions and asking the right questions
  • Documentation discipline: decisions recorded, assumptions written down
  • Experience shipping software products, in any capacity

Bring one real decision. Tell us about a feature you cut or delayed, what it cost, and whether you would make the same call today.

Include in your application

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • LinkedIn profile
  • Products or projects you have owned
  • A written example of a product decision you made
  • Your CV attached as a PDF
  • How you would prioritise a backlog of ten good ideas
Position 06

QA Engineer

2 seats Full-time Sri Lanka
Apply for this role

Agents fail in ways ordinary software does not. We need people who enjoy finding exactly how, and who write it down so it never happens twice.

What we're looking for

  • Manual and automated testing. You should be fluent in both, not one
  • Playwright for end-to-end automation; the Playwright MCP is a strong advantage
  • Writing test plans, test cases and regression suites that outlive the sprint
  • API testing with Postman or equivalent, including auth and error paths
  • Cross-browser and real-device testing on mobile
  • Bug reporting discipline: reproduction steps, environment, expected versus actual
  • Running tests in CI/CD so failures block a release rather than surprise it
  • Basic TypeScript or JavaScript, enough to read the code you are testing
  • Testing non-deterministic AI output: prompt regressions, tool-call failures, hallucination checks
  • Genuine attention to detail, and the patience to reproduce the hard ones

Break something of ours. Find a bug on this site or any product we have shipped, report it properly, and attach it to your application.

Include in your application

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • GitHub profile (optional)
  • A test plan or test suite you have written
  • One properly written bug report, on anything
  • Your CV attached as a PDF
  • Tools and frameworks you have used
How to apply

Four steps, one human reader

We do not run applicants through a filter. Send us something real and we will read all of it.

  1. Pick your role. Six positions are open. Apply for the one that fits you today, not the one you hope to grow into.
  2. Prepare your material. Every role lists exactly what to include. Portfolios, showreels and test plans carry more weight than a CV alone.
  3. Write to us honestly. Tell us why FLi AI, in your own words. Generated CVs and generated answers are easy to spot.
  4. Send it to careers@fliai.lk. Use the position name as your subject line. We reply to every application we read.

This will be your place

If you are the kind of engineer who builds before being asked, we should talk.
